Description
Our wheat is cultivated by small and marginal women farmers practicing rain-fed agriculture in the tribal region of the Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh. Dewas is in Malwa, a region famous for its superior variety of wheat. The farmers we work with are part of Ram Rahim Pragati Producer Company Limited (RRPPCL), a Farmer Producer Organization owned and run by 4000 tribal women practicing chemical pesticide free agriculture. The choicest of grains procured from these women farmers are then slowly ground in Chakkis. Slow grinding generates less heat and helps retain fiber, proteins and other essential nutrients that are otherwise lost. Safe storage and minimal processing ensure that we bring all that is healthy and wholesome from her farm to your kitchen! We recommend that you add more water to the dough to get softer Rotis.
